Ecology in Classrooms & Outdoors (“ECO” or “we”) respects the privacy of all individuals and is committed to protecting donor (“you” or “your”) information. We understand your interest in being informed on how we use and safeguard your data when you donate. We have established this Donor Privacy Policy outlining our practices and procedures for handling your information. This policy applies to all data collected from you, irrespective of whether you donate online or offline.
Information we collect
The only personal data we collect is the information you voluntarily provide. For example, if you opt to donate using the “donate” button on ECO’s website, we will collect information such as your name, postal address, and email address.
We will never share or sell your information
ECO will not sell, trade, or share your name or personal information with any other entity or send mailings on behalf of other organizations.
Our third-party donation service provider
Ecology in Classrooms & Outdoors uses Bloomerang Fundraising/Qgiv as our online donation platform. Information collected through Bloomerang is subject to applicable state and federal privacy laws and Bloomerang’s Privacy Policy.
All non-personal information collected remains anonymous or non-personally identifiable. Any personally identifiable information is encrypted. Financial information, including bank account or credit card numbers, cardholder name, CVV code, and expiration date, is collected and securely stored by Bloomerang and is not stored on ECO’s servers.
Bloomerang retains personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill contractual, legal, or operational obligations, including fraud prevention and security purposes. Once the applicable retention period has expired, information may be permanently deleted, aggregated, or anonymized.
When donating, information collected may include:
Contact information such as your name, email address, postal address, geolocation data, and phone number.
Technical information. This information may include standard web log entries associated with cookies and your IP address, page URL, and timestamp.
Bloomerang does not sell personal information and only shares information with service providers or partners as necessary to process donations and provide fundraising services, in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Ecology in Classrooms & Outdoors is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Federal ID #20-3710367). Donations to ECO are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
