ECO Science Enrichment Programs
Carus Elementary School
* ECO programs got their start at Carus Elementary, thanks to the
 dedication of the
Carus Parent Teacher Association (PTA). This is the
 third year of the ECO Science Enrichment Program at Carus Elementary,
 located in the Canby School District.  During the Program, ECO
 Scientists in Residence have visited  K-6 grade students. This year
 Carus fourth, fifth and sixth grade students    are actively working to
 restore  the Carus Natural Area. The Program at  Carus has received  
 support  from the
Diack Ecology Education  Program, Canby
 Educational Foundation
, Project Learning Tree Greenworks! Grant &  
 
Toyota TAPESTRY Grant administered by the  National Science
 Teachers Association.

Trost Elementary School
* ECO programs are in their second year at Trost Elementary, thanks to
 support from the
Trost PTA, the Canby Educational Foundation, and a
 three year
Oregon Department of Education Learn & Serve grant.
 Trost's Science Enrichment Program involves K-5 grade students, who  
 
are working to create an Outdoor Laboratory &  Natural Area on their   
 
school grounds.  Trost Elementary is also located within the Canby   
 
School District.

Canby School District: Eccles, Lee, Ninety-One & Knight
* With support from the Canby Educational Foundation,  ECO will be
 facilitating Science Enrichment Programs at  Eccles, Lee, Ninety-One &   
 Knight Elementary Schools this winter. This means that ECO will be   
 facilitating a district-wide Science Enrichment Program at each
 elementary school within the Canby School District! Thanks to
 
Oregon Forest Resources Institute (OFRI), some of the Canby
 students will be receiving transportation to Hopkins Demonstration
 Forest.

Seth Lewelling Environmental Magnet School
* Seth Lewelling Elementary School in the North Clackamas School
 District is beginning it's first year of ECO programming and will follow
 the ECO Instructional Model. Third through sixth grade students will
 receive regular visits from ECO Scientists in Residence. Kindergarten,
 first and second grade students will also participate in ecology   
 education, facilitated by 4H Wildlife Volunteers. Thanks to the
 
Lewelling PTA,  the Lewelling Neighborhood Association and the
 
North Clackamas School District for supporting this program!
